The Arctic Circle China Forum was held in Shanghai, May 10-11, 2019. Hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the People's Republic of China, the Forum was sponsored by the China Oceanic Development Foundation and supported by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai. The Forum was organized in cooperation with the Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC), the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) and the Chinese Society for Oceanography and was held at Shanghai Science & Technology Museum. The Forum was organized in consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

Significant discussion will be held on China's involvement in the Arctic through the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as dialogue on science and innovation, transport and infrastructure, the oceans, renewable energy, sustainable development and governance.
